HARROGATE A.F.C KNOCK LEEDS UNITED OUT OF THE F.A. CUP!!!!!
    Shocked
Been updating a few of the clubs F.A. Cup stats via various sources and managed to find out what appeared to be a missing result thanks to the F.A. website!

During the 1920/21 season after beating Hebden Bridge @ home 3-2 in the Preliminary Round with goals from (Gedney, Kirk & Jackson) Harrogate A.F.C. were awarded a home tie with Leeds United in the 1st Qualifying Round on the 09/10/20
For some reason the match was not played & Harrogate were awarded the tie via a “Walkover” along with 3 other sides during that round & then went on to play Halifax away in the 2nd Qualifying Round which we lost 1-0!

Phil Harrison's Official History records our 1920-21 FA Cup results as: 11 September Mythmolmroyd (Todmorden) extra preliminary round won 4-1; 25 September Hebden Bridge 1st preliminary round won 3-2; 23 October Halifax Town 2nd preliminary round lost 0-1. The early rounds appear to have been played 2 weeks apart, as now, which confirms the Leeds game was scheduled for 9 October. The Halifax match was 2nd qualifying round rather than 2nd preliminary round.
