Boston injured all recover Empty Boston injured all recover

Post by Baldie Sun Mar 02, 2014 10:14 am

Just thought I would check to see if the 3 Boston players who were 'seriously' injured in the match with Harrogate last week were recovering (one had a pulled hamstring?!). Obviously, they have great recovery powers as McGee and Steer were back in the team 7 days later and Galinski was on the subs bench (as he was at Harrogate). From the way the players left the field, I thought someone at last might have needed more than a week to recover.......... unless of course there was a touch of over-acting!!
Simon got a bit of stick from the fans for not pressing on when they had only 6.5 players on the pitch.... but his view that Boston were trying to get the match abandoned looks right on! Credit to the referee for also pushing the match to final whistle.

We should get their Manager running the NHS.

It is really is a joke and they should be done for bringing the game into disrepute on this evidence.

Bang on the money Baldie - surprised the usual suspects haven't commented on the integrity of the Boston Manager affraid

In particular, Steer, who left the CNG on crutches, played the full 90 minutes. The biggest comeback since Lazarus!

Simon Weaver and the Harrogate team against Boston showed character, courage, strength and wisdom in the handling of the Game, which was clearly heading for match abandoned. The problem was for Boston, Goal Difference. If we came at them all the time, we could of easily had 10! Without question, but with Boston dropping like flies, and the clock ticking down, we got 4, the points and the win, job done.

Tactics dead right last Saturday, frustrating to watch but Simon and the team did the right thing...as did the ref.
