I haven't seen this mentioned on here but White has joined Darlo on a 1 month loan deal.

How has he performed for you lot, particularly last season? 37 years old now but seems to be exactly what we need to be honest.

Missed a fair bit of pre-season because of an ankle injury - has appeared in two pre season games and on bench for first couple of Conf North matches - vastly experienced, a good footballer, should be excellent for you - best of luck

Cheers, exactly what I was hoping to hear.

There were rumours around June/July last year that he was joining us in a player/coach role although obviously that didn't materialise.

good signing for you. provides excellent leadership skills, just as long as he can avoid the yellow and red cards he'll do well for you!

Sad to see 'Whitey' go, but I guess it was inevitable, he would only be on the bench at Town. Another few hundred pounds freed from the playing budget? With Wright's wages as well must add up to £600/700 a week...we could sign a good striker for that Smile

My gut feeling is that the squad will be getting trimmed further between now and the summer. Neutral

Yes, once the club recognises the play offs are realistically out of the question (I'm optimistic enough to think that moment has not yet come!), then maybe some players will be allowed to leave, and one or two of the youngsters might get a game. Sad to see the youth team lost to Grimsby last night 3-1. I would love to have seen them play at home in the next round...another disappointment: when will it end Crying or Very sad

I would defiantly like to see some of the youth team included in first team action from time to time for experience sakes.......According to the advertiser it looks like we will probably sign a striker if one crops up, perhaps the thought process with letting Whitey go is to free up wage budget, but then is this all talk to keep the crowd quiet and they just trimming anyway because Wright must have been on a decent wage too.

I think he should be looking in the Evo stick league, surely someone there in the north is banging in 40 a season
