Anyone know anything: injuries, holiday? Seems very strange. Lets face it if Wright and Hall hit it off together we will be unstoppable.

Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
I guess the big mystery in what has been a remarkable pre-season is the (virtual) non-appearance of one of our big signings of the Summer. Lets face it most of us thought Brown and Wright were the star signings, Chris Hall a bit of a gamble. Hall has turned out to be sensational so far (so good I'd have thought bigger clubs will soon start to take an interest), Wright has, I think, appeared in two 45 minute spells early on (and in Portadown?), but has not even been on the bench in other games.

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
From what I saw of him he wasn't really that exciting, but then I didn't see much...........Should free up a nice chunk of wage budget for someone else to come in and make an impact.

Personally think they should free Dominic Roma from staring down the barrel of relegation and get Beesley back on the subs bench since we only play 1 up top.

Bit of a shame this even if it's not a big surprise, clearly he was champing at the bit for a game. I just hope we aren't weakened by it.

I guess he will be registered as a player also for Corby. To be honest, I don't think we need to get anyone else in. We have Rowe, Beesley and Hardy, so there are options.

Good luck to Tommy but I don't think we need to get unduly worried that he has left.

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
remember last season when we didn't replace players we lost it cost us a play off place, we only need an injury or a better job offer and we are struggling again REPLACE HIM ASAP

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
Good luck to him but not too concerned. Hall seems to be the preferred option upfront and is doing a good job. Don’t forget that Worsfold can play up there too. Hardy is looking sharper and is a good option from the bench. Not sure we need to bring in any reinforcements at the moment. Might be worth waiting for the time being. If Samuels continues to be out of favour then maybe a more defensively minded right back could be an option. Always loved Jamie Price if we could nick him off BPA.

Will Matt Bloomer be fit for Saturday - if not, big chance for Dwayne to settle back into right back

I think Samuels should be given a chance on Saturday. He is an extremely good player. Its just that Matt Bloomer has been playing well, and Dwayne was injured.

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
My only criticism of both Bloomer and Samuels is that they both have a tendency to ball watch and before they know it, the left winger is beyond them and making a cross.......Both ok, but defiantly the weakest area in my mind.............Dominic Roma would solve that instantly!

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
Yes, good luck to Wright, we never got the chance to find out how good he might have been. I agree, hold on to the 'spare cash', until later...we may still need another striker.

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
Sign Dominic Roma, convert Samuels into a Right Winger and use Bloomer as a bench option?
That would sound like a good plan, but I dont know if Roma would be open to coming back.

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
But Gainsborough had to cut their budget by 80% this season, so they might be glad to get him off the books, because if my memory serves me right, the reason he left is because he took an offer that he couldnt refuse, which was probably a hefty pay increase.

Re: Tommy Wright...Any Sightings?
That is my logical reasoning to believing we could tempt Roma back quite easily and even then we could offload Samuels........I saw on their forums a while back that he took a huge paycut and you are right, he left Harrogate for a payrise! I'm pretty sure he wont want to sit at the bottom of the league.

It will be interesting to see what Weaver does now that Tommy's salary has been freed up.
