If it’s dry Tuesday night, will the new “computer controlled” sprinkler system be on before the match?

I was a bit concerned even before the match about the state of the pitch. There were areas off of the playing surface that were very worn - obviously where the warm ups had been taking place earlier. And after the game there looked to be a lot of lumps and bumps.

The rain we've had this year has been out of all proportion to what we'd expect in a normal summer and I'm just concerned that even with the drainage, the "new" state of the pitch is going to be a problem until the surface is "established".

If you look on the Alty match report they remark "Torrential rain had fallen earlier in the evening and the new pitch had not fully absorbed it, with some parts of the playing area almost saturated."

I just hope that this weather doesn't undo all the good work.

    Any comments from the club.
