Why is it that players leave us and immediately start scoring? Brian Dutton at Northwich and now Lee Gregory at Halifax. Annoying or what!

Re: Lee Gregory does it for Halifax
1st start and he scores, you can add that to James Dean with 37 goals and Nicky Gray and Scooby with 20+ each

I think its an absolute certainty! Look forward to my visit to the Shay. How many of your ex-Town players do you think Neil will keep for the Unibond Premier? I guess Deano Marshall, Gray are certs. Wonder if he will try and sign Gregory...does he look good?

Re: Lee Gregory does it for Halifax
Gregory has great pace and a good finish he's on loan till the end of the season but it's pretty much guaranteed he'll be going back to Mansfield. We have a great set up now with the new stand and over 3000 were at our game on Saturday. if you do visit you will see deano, scooby, gray, lowe, hardy and hedge no doubt about it Aspin will keep them all with a few additions in the summer. I keep up to date with your scores because of our connection with the players and management, I wish you well with the rest of the season but like you say it looks a certainty as long as we get out of this tinpot league.

Re: Lee Gregory does it for Halifax
Thanks shaymanfan. In fact because of my general depression re: our managerial situation I am agonising over whether to transfer my affections elsewhere next season: I was thinking of Guiseley but actually Halifax sounds like a much better deal: good stadium, a fans club (are you?) and lots of ex-Town players to cheer on, not to mention Neil and his bobble hat! Might see you rather more often next season!

Taken from the Halifax Forum :
Hmmmm, thought he looked good when he was with us But looks to have set the place alight at the shay Why couldnt he do that for us
Lee Gregory has been a massive signing for us and has taken us to another level up front. Love his attitude. He has raw pace, clever football brain, great touch, great movement, powerfull shot & great in the air. He has everything.
Now is it ridiculous for us to sign this man on a perm basis? Would he want to play for us? Could we afford him? What is his contract status at Mansfield? I would love him to sign for us. Forget Norton, Barlow and any other Unibond striker - this man is ten classes above them.

Re: Lee Gregory does it for Halifax
Nope because he gets the ball into his feet !!!!!! Something which this current harrogate town team dont understand, they just get to the half way line and chip it up in the air and seem to expect the likes of ellington and cahill to win it against 6ft+ centre halves !!!! Get it on the ground use the width get some attacking full backs gets some balls whipping across the front of the opposition keeper for the strikers to attack !!!!! CMON GET IT SORTED!!!!!
