Real shame if true. A quality player should have been a lynch pin of midfield. Whats going on?

    Just been confirmed! Sad
Apparently at first we rejected an offer then He said he wanted to leave. A swap deal was offered for one of their 'experienced midfielders' but was turned down. Rossy was a great player and I am annoyed that he's gone but if he said he wanted to go its a different story. Hopefully a new player will come in.

You suspect that Ross 'saw the writing on the wall' and wanted out. Thought he was joining a club who would be in play off contention, and realised his error! Boston is a step up for him. Good player, good luck.

Noticed that Rory Coleman has been released by Trinity, would make a good replacement in midfield and has scored goals for us from that position?

I noticed that too! Trinity manager said he didn't do the business for them, but I'd love to se him back at Wetherby Road. After all we signed four quality midfielders in the Summer: Tait, Wilson, Ross and Turnbull. Ross has gone, I assume Tait isn't coming back, leaves us with 2 out of 4. Adam must be a few weeks (at least)away from fitness, bit thin in the midfield area!

Lets hope the 'powers that be' have the same thought processes as us fans!

Interview on Radio York yesterday with Boston manager, who stated that "Harrogate Town can put what they like on their website, but Ian Ross has NOT signed ...", and that they did not offer a player...

Fair enough, I only reported what had been broadcast.

I guess it could be that he hadn't signed yesterday, but has today. Or Radio York could have put out an interview which was a few days old!

It just shows that even when you get news from the horses mouth,as such, it may not be 100% correct.

    That's right.

We all know that there are statements made in the press, on the radio/websites/forums, whether based on 'facts', or rumours, which subsequently turn out to be incorrect.

Hopefully most of them are made in good faith, but a few will be made with a hidden agenda...maybe the Boston manager didn't want his players to think he was preparing to offload one of them.

All we can do is to pass on what we see and hear, state the source of the information, if possible, and judge the reliability

I wonder if it is anything to do with money? maybe Boston made him an offer he couldnt refuse? like Gainsborough did with Dom Roma at the end of last season.

Would have liked him to stay, but there are players that could replace him in the current squad. He is a very good player, and will do well at Boston.
