Any chance someone could post match updates for this one?

I am currently on Holiday and unable to get radio coverage, assuming BBC Radio York are reporting the match on A.M.

It would be nice to get a little feedback for this game as waiting for updates via the website etc can be a little slow.

    Many thanks.

Anyone know if BBC Cumbria are doing the commentary or there website? Currently residing in Mancester and unfortunately Yorks AM frequency doesnt go this far. Be good if there was a stream on website from the York AM frequency through BBC, surely they wouldnt be against it after all they are supposed to be providing local sports services for the licience fee. Something maybe new press office could look into? Dont think it would effect crowd numbers for people who live away, sure some would maybe even pay £10 a year or something - I would be tempted if there were video/audio stuff on the website? Anyway back to original point, anyone know of commentary online anywhere for those not gate based tonight?

Cumbria radio has Barrow v York, so has Radio York!!! Bit of a waste of the airwaves to my mind.

    Losing at HT

Getting a little fed up of being called a "Money" club with people thinking we have loads of money coming from Weavers dad, would like to see the proof regarding how much might have been invested.

We have assembled a decent squad this year and I am not 100% sure it's all down to having a lot of money invested.

How do you explain where the funds have come from for the new staff and signings then?

We have always said funds were available, the club have no debt and money available for a new stadium, allegedly and this was before Simon Weaver came to Town, so to speak.

Well, if the club had the money, why didnt they invest it in the squad last season and give Weaver sufficient funds to improve the squad, instead of giving him a pittance to start with? The only reason we stayed up was due to Northwich.

If the club had the funds for a new stadium, why didnt they buy Claro Road?

If the club had the money prior to Weavers appointment, why was the 2008-09 squad transfer listed near the end of the season?

Full Time. Another defeat by 2-1. To sum it up in a nutshell, it was a very competitive game, but apart from the first 20 mins when we went at them. it was all Workington, and they should have won by a lot more.

Spot on with your comments The Neil29.
Ask the geordie boys who have been involved with the club since weaver arrived
    where the money's come from?

It seems early to be getting a bit despondant, but Tuesdays game seemed rather like a lot of matches last season. I really do think the next match against Boston is a bit of a 'crunch' encounter. Presumably this squad was asembled to at least challenge for the play offs, and we cannot afford (even at this stage) to be dropping off the pace: Telford, Alfreton, possibly Workington and Boston look very strong already. If we are going to be serious condenders for a top 5 place this season we need a) to be able to beat the better teams, particularly at home b) get a consistant run of victories going. At least Boston lost 2-1 midweek so they are not invincible.
Stalybridge on Monday tough, but they are inconsistent, and we DO have to win some away games this season.
On the plus side Armstrong does look like the 'new' Danny Holland: 4 goals in 4 games is an impressive strike rate. Seems worrying that the defence (which looked to have been improved considerably) is giving away poor goals, like last season. We clearly need Foster and Bowey back in midfield. Come Monday at 5.00 pm. two wins could put us near the top, two defeats near the bottom, so these are massive games already.
