After reading the statements from both clubs…
Hgte say that is the League rules that tickets should be full price … Fylde now accept this.
Fylde seem to imply that Hgte wanted the ticket prices increased back to the normal price because Hgte would miss out on their 50% of the difference in price.
Fylde say that they were prepared to give Hgte the share of the ‘lost’ gate receipts for the home supporters, but not for the away suppoerters and Hgte wouldn’t agree to that.
Fylde say it would be up to £5 per ticket.. I'm not sure about that ‘cos the price reduction varied from £2 to £5 per ticket… so surely Hgte would have only been entitled to a maximum of £2.50 per ticket.
Let’s say that we take 200 supporters, which would mean a maximum of £500 of lost receipts for Hgte.
It’s obviously an initial mistake by Fylde, who should have known better, but not sure why Hgte wouldn’t agree to stand the 50% loss on just the Hgte fans tickets.
I appreciate that rules are rules and it may be that the League wouldn’t have allowed Fylde to make up the difference, and Fylde are just trying to muddy the water.
Apologies if I’ve misinterpreted the situation and comments welcome.
