Now that the season opener gave us a good idea what we will be up against it’s down to an appetising first away game that will surely give us a really true feel for this league.

Re: Hartlepool away
Thought we deserved the point on our 1st half performance which deserved 1 or 2 goals- The half time team talk must have been riveting because we did our usual and never got going until we was a goal down- Belshaw earnt his money with a brilliant 1st half performance and similarly their keeper had some great saves to make in 1st half- Thought Knowles had a terrific game and deserved his goal- Their attack in 2nd half seemed to have lots of room down our left side which was worrying-
Finally it was nice to speak to pleasant stewards who seemed to not want to ruin your dayout- plus thats the best playing surface we will play on this season and congratulations to the groundsman.

Got to agree with everything in your post Garage 100%. With Knowles, if that’s a Veiw of things to come, we are blessed with a fine player, outstanding performance. I’ll not forget Belshaw either in my praise, superb.

Re: Hartlepool away
Great performance, deserving of at least a point, from the 2 games so far it’s clear there will be no easy games in this league and we can’t rely on our advantage of full time fitness which we exploited last season, the players will get tired quicker this season so rotating the squad is vital, bit worrying that we’re into the 2nd week of the season and we’re looking a bit light on numbers already, Fallowfield thewliss,Beck, and sounds like potentially willians injured, leesley not fully fit and lees sent out on loan

Re: Hartlepool away
Based on our first 2 games we can hack it in this league. Great all round performance last night. Knowles was imvho a revelation compared to his previous showing and deserved his goal.
'Bounce-off' Belshaw kept us alive in the first half, but tbh overall we just about deserved the draw. Leesley's 30 second steady concentration before his perfect injury time free kick (leading to Howe!s equaliser) was a joy to behold and nearly cancelled out his hand ball penalty indiscretion on Saturday - must say, apart from that, he also had the right back beat most of the time.
Roll on Saturday and Bromley - 5 pts from 9 on sat night unlikely but wouldn't surprise me !

Hello chaps chapesses, a belated congratulations from the runaway leaders of your new league. It's such a responsibility to be setting the benchmarks this season. As my many admirers on the unofficial non league forum will know, I believe there is a special place in Hell for those whose success is bought for them by a rich uncle, but hey-ho. A cautious start for yous, no wins, no defeats yet- which way will it go, mid table obscurity or a relegation battle? Here's hoping you can stay in the fight till the New Year, I'd hate our festive double headers to be dead rubbers for you. Anyway, must go, I've got an armchair waiting to be sat in while I gaze at the league table in my Sunday paper, arrange my face into a smugly satisfied smirk and puff away on my pipe.

What a sadd’oh. Let him sit in his armchair reading his Sunday rag and while away his life. Obviously nothing else to do in his sad life apart from troll other FC’s forums. End of.

Call this a forum? 20 posts in total in a week since your first ever match in Conference Premier? Are you even IN this league?

More on topic. Belshaw deserves a medal for his performances at Hartlepool and Bromley, games which we'd have lost with any other Conference keeper and we'd be struggling with 1 point at/near the bottom.
Responding to trolls just feeds their appetite ... anyway their last game at the Shay, Halifax lost 14-0 !!

Still reeling in the fact Halifax have signed Simon Lenighan no doubt. Hugely tinpot.
Though don't know if that is better or worse than his 'Location' 2016 Football League.
