Always a tough place to go against a well organised physical side! Missing Ainge Burrell and Kennedy, how do you think we’ll line up? Rumour we’re getting a loan player in at CB, and weaver said by hook or by crook there patching Fallowifield up to play. I’d go with

                                              Belshaw

         Fallowfield.           Swain.             Parker.               O’Hanlon

                                          Falkingham

         Thewliss              Kerry.                Emmett.            Leesley

                                             Beck

    Cracknall
    Vann
    Agnew
    Knowles
    Lees

Fairly flexible with how you can play with that starting 11, 4141 as I’ve shown, easy to move to 442 pushing Emmett right and thewliss up Top.

My thoughts exactly on the back four. Not sure Weaver will leave Agnew out, rest of team picks itself really with so many players out.

After NYD performance, Agnew deserves to keep his place.
Unsure about shifting swainey to unfamiliar position when he's just back from injury-haven't we got a centre back waiting in the wings?
Mark Beck .... Ok, give him another chance under circumstances, but he has to show a bit more mobility and put himself about a bit more. All imvho, of course !

Apart from young Toby Lees we have not got a centre back to use, Burrell, Kennedy and Ainge who could have reverted to centre back are all suspended. Middleton out on loan perhaps he can be called back?

    Parker can play centre half.
Would expect him and Lees to be the choice.

Struggled 1st half looking shaky at the back as expected but got to grips 2nd half and could have had 3 goals. Parker was shown up twice for his lack of pace but generally played ok. Toby looked nervous early doors but generally got better as the game went on.
We had some luck in 1st half to not conceed but thought we were the better side 2nd half. Good to see Thewlis scoring again and unlucky having a goal disaloud for offside. Finally thought the female ref had a good game.

Any win at Chorley is a cracking result, but yesterday’s was something else, down to the bare bones of the squad, Belshaw fantastic again must be our signing of the season, huge praise to ben Parker who organised and marshalled a young and pretty inexperienced defence, I certainly didn’t see 2 clean sheets in a row when I found out he was to be our centre half in the absence of others.
Solid workman Like midfield which is vital to grind out wins in this league particularly at this time of the season, could do with the old Leesley back he’s not quite been right since the salford offfer came in and I’m afraid that must be the end of him taking pens, and although he got some stick in the 1st half I thought in the 2nd half Mark Beck was outstanding really stood up when we needed him.

Simon got it spot on tactically and it appears we have a squad with genuine belief that we can gain promotion all pulling in the same direction, maybe a bit of game management ie subs to kill time would t of gone a miss but hey ho, heading into some huge games for the club in the next few weeks with a rested and refreshed Kennedy, Burrell, Ainge, Kerry, Thompson and Knowles at our disposal, who knows it might just might be our year???

I agree with garage and topcat re lees and beck respectively.
I thought we were a bit lucky that the first half Chorley chances didn't get converted but what comes around goes around ie we've had loads of possession in some recent games and lost.
Well if Darlo can play against Salford on Wednesday like they did against us, I can't see Salford winning - come on Darlo, repeat your performance on season day 1 (2-0 win away at Salford !) - then town (shade odds-on to beat Nuneaton) must win and regain top spot on Tuesday. That's not an impossible dream and would give us a psychological advantage over Salford for our 20th Jan crunch meet !

Is Ainge, Burrell + Kennedy available tomorrow night. Just on another note, has Thompson been injured lately and Simon giving him time to recover?

Kennedy available tonight if selected, Ainge available Saturday, Burrell not back till salford game, not heard anything about a injury to Thompson, only injury’s mentioned in recent weeks is Fallowfield, saying that o hanlon hasn’t made the squad recently I’d of thought if he wasn’t injured he surely would of made the bench Saturday
