    York - Simon's hurrah!

Post by Mr Apples on Sun Sep 24, 2017 3:53 pm

What a result. The kind of occasion we would have blown last season! Some of those Yorkies who commented so condescendingly only the Twit about how laughable it was, small clubs like us looking forward to their visit! Their words must taste very bitter in the aftermath - haha! Can't wait for the away fixture.

Plaudits to every member of the team, of course - but let us save a special one for Simon, who had to contend with a lot of crap last season - much of it from mouthier members of a squad who were somewhat wanting in attitude and application (and let us leave it at that), bore it with dignity; bounce is a decent manager. Enjoy the moment, Simon - and, please, don't let the repulsive Man U antidote to the admirable FC United, aka Salford City, win it!

Onwards and upwards, Town. xxx bounce cheers sunny

Are they a bigger club than Stockport who have been in this league for four years? NO.
We have long got past the likes of York, Stockport, Kidderminster, Southport, Darlington and Boston telling us they once were a League club.

Might mark a change in fortunes for York, which may not be good for us!
