Star man in non league write up for shaw lane this week, anyone else like me love to see him back at town? Granted wouldn't start many games but would make a great impact off the bench and would give us a real physical edge in matches we need to battle, had a fantastic understanding with thewliss last time he was here, perfect replacement for Ainge if he's suspended/injured or ( hope it's doesnt but prob will at some point ) he hits a dry spell.

More in need of a dominating Centerhalf. Would like be this to happen.

You don't bring in a striker, knowing that he is forth choice at best. He didn't do much for Alfreton last season. He isn't good enough at this level.

IMO every good football squad has 4 strikers, and you make them fight for there spaces, currently he'd be in 4th but not there all season, he's more than good enough for this level, 2 years ago when we had our best season in history we had 4 strickers fighting for places Clayton thewliss knowles daniels all of which I was happy which ever 2 we played up front. Plus the fanstastic jerry Yates for a couple of months.

Last season we started with Robertson ( fell of the face of the earth) Chib ( the manager clearly had no faith in him) pitman ( bit of a firework look pretty but went out with a bang) and knowles ( absent 90% of the season) one of the main reasons we struggled imo Clayton would of started every game for us last season and with leesleys delivery scored a lot of goals, instead we jumbled along with Ainge who was fantastic, swain, Burrell, muskawe, and the other youth from Bradford forgot his name.

This year we've Ainge knowles and thewliss, Clayton would be a massive plus to fight for places in this squad.

I would have thought Thompson would be put up front if a 4th choice is needed, once Agnew and Kerry are back. Swain is also a decent option up front if needed. Clayton wouldn't be getting much of a looking at the moment and once the above are back, I doubt he would make the bench.

Everyones intitled to there own opinions but if you'd rather swain upfront over Clayton you see football differently to me.

Agnew Kerry and swain would just fill places on the bench of the lads simon hasn't/doesn't want to bring on so far this season.

No, I'd prefer Thompson up front over Clayton and Kerry or Agnew in place in midfield. Both Kerry and Agnew will be pushing for first team when they are back. Swain would then be 5th choice striker, who to be fair did alright last season. No room for Clayton there.

Ainge needing surgery, knowles potential long term injury according to radio york interview, could be down to just thewliss, oh what we'd do for Clayton in our squad now.
