Looks like we're not the only club suffering from this.

Unfortunately we live in a world now where it's always better to do these things then risk the rath if anything ever went wrong, imagen the turmoil it would cause if for any reason someone was daft enough to bring a gun/knife/weapon in there bag with them and use it on someone and it could of been stopped by a simple bag search, sad I know but it's the way of the world nowadays.

I accept this, but the likliehood of something like that at a normal Harrogate Town game must be as close to zero as it is mathematically possible to get. Fair enough for games against York etc. Did I tell you at the recent Ossett friendly (a real security risk, that one!), I had my bag searched, fair enough, no problem, but then one of the two stewards on duty (there was also a policeman there!), said 'OK, but you have to remove the plastic cap from your water bottle'. You know the cliché about people being open mouthed in amazement, that was me! Fortunately the other steward, saw sense and let me bring my water bottle AND cap into the ground. I spent most of the game wondering what damage I could do with a small plastic bottle cap, and failed. I could, I suppose, have swallowed it and choked myself, but as to doing damage to anyone else, I was struggling.

Oh well, ain't non league football wonderful, so different from all that league stuff. NOT.
