Went to have a look at the ground (at least from the outside) the other day. If you're going by car please note what Big Lundy has said, namely that car parking on site is quite limited. Also it might help to be aware that access to the ground is down a fairly narrow lane from the main road. Given that Darlington get around 1000 plus at home games I imagine this access point gets very congested when the match is over.

Possibly agree with score but more bothered about pitch being waterlogged and having to travel to a night match

1-1. Our defence has tightened with Ellis and the move back to a 4. Think we will play for the draw.

No bar facilities at the ground! Nearest spot is in town 20 min walk away, also noticed on there website a article in there news section reminding fans to behave themselves at home games, Saturday could be lively

My love for non league football is waining, I used to love non league football this time last year, grass pitch, part time players who appeared to genuinely cared about the club, sensible mostly volunteer stewards, the social aspect of little or no segregation at games.
This year all changed, more games segregated home and away than I can ever remember, a hired bunch of jobsworth cavemen stewards growing in numbers and equipment ( referring to them wearing cameras now) game by game and now sounds like from. Ow on we'all have a designated police unit with us for games, what's happening to non league football at town??

Can't think it's Town that have any reputation. Sounds like a regional initiative from the police. Remembering our away game at Halifax and with intelligence we are not party to maybe other clubs do and are developing an issue with small groups of fans. If banning orders are in place, is it more likely those individuals will turn up at non league matches with their mates?

    Amen to that Topcat.
Club really reached out and engaged last season, helped by positivity on the pitch no doubt but feels totally different this season with the various carry-ons baked in by no club response to negative and avoidable issues impacting and a like it or lump it approach - again just supped up by some fans who maybe don't quite get the non league.

Has been refreshing going to away matches this season. Fylde for its newness and showing how non league can be translated into the modern and truly inclusiveness and places like Salford/Alfreton feeling like good old away days. Shite facilities but the beer and banter making the day. Wetherby Road is turning into a mini premier league wannabe arena, with all of the worse aspects of that experience. Ironically at a time when there is an increasing awareness and disengagement of such 'experiences'.

Sad to see likes of Trev and others feeling the same but hay the free tickets 'take up' will make up for those lost proper fans - the clubs new hire the 'right type of fan' policy. And they won't be missed on the laughable make it up as you go along attendances announced.

Despite rent a crowd & the away teams following & our current league position, our home crowds are up on last season!!!
We have only won 4 times away in the league all season & yet our away support has still gone up a bit compared to last season!
    scratch
Saxon security, segregation, more atmosphere @ matches are all signs that we are slowly becoming a bigger club!
    It is what it is!!!
And if you want to play with the “Big Boys” in a National League that’s what we need to become!
Get in your Tardis, go back 10 years & see what it used to be like then!
If ye enjoyed it more then, get thesen down t’ Station View & re live the good old days!
Ye can here football fans singing occasionally down there but it’s usually been carried down there in the wind from the CNG stadium when we are @ home on the same Saturday!!!

    REMEMBER
The opposition play in different colours than us!

Kind of agree with this, altho' the atmosphere did feel better last season: progress with a human face! This season somehow feels more antiseptic (despite the kop), a bit more plastic. My favourite days were with John Reed in charge, real non- league and we won things! Not sure Reedy would fit the corporate model however! [/b]

    Nothing wrong with non-league!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Watched it here following Town for 35 years or more!
It would just be nice to experience something different for a bit!
As long as it meant the club could still survive & not end up going “T*:^S” up of course!
Even non-league in a National League would be something different for us.
If that isn’t going to be possible then there will always be the challenge of staying in National League North of course!
