Re: Worcester City
Yes, rather quiet on here these days! I'm looking forward to it anyway. Hope to see Agnew at some point, and another couple of goals from Ainge. Win tomorrow and we keep our season just about alive.

Re: Worcester City
Not wishing in any way to revel in another teams demise but it seems like a complete nightmare for Worcester fans at the moment. Talk of all players up for sale or release, top striker gone and interim management setup. Hope they turn up and we get a good game and the 3 pts but feel for their fans. Open talk of dropping divisions and no ground to call home either!

Used to enjoy our trips to St. Georges Lane!

It’s easy to sell your ground but a lot harder to replace it!!!!!!!
Never a good situation if you haven’t got your own ground to play on

Re: Worcester City
Settle for that. Not much football to be had but 3 pts taken. Fair play to Worcester. Thought they played well. Best of luck to them for rest of season as it'll be tough!

Re: Worcester City
We were 2nd best-credit to Worcester- Too many aimless lumps up the field- the next few games are a true test after Altrincham next week- see sicknote Pittman injured again.

Re: Worcester City
Result speaks for itself, however
Positives:
We won
Scored three goals
Kept a clean sheet
Ainge and Ellis
Result adds to positive momentum
Half time entertainment
Negatives:
Boom ball played for 75 minutes leading to a scrappy game

Re: Worcester City
Very scrappy game, they played the best football. Still 3 points and 3 good goals so not complaining. Hope we don't live to regret that blip against Trinity. Season still alive for another week at least. But are we good enough for the play offs??

Re: Worcester City
Forgot to mention the half time entertainment- far better than the game- great to see those young kids following the ball - falling over- shorts far too big for them- it was great

Re: Worcester City
Fair question Paul- shocked at the stat that we hadnt won away since august up until Boston! Lost against most of the big boys first time round and other games given away but we are were we are! Who's to say we can't make the playoffs? Fylde aren't unbeatable and on our day, with the right tactics, personnel and our tails up can't think of any team that will relish playing us. Get 3 or 4 more wins in a row and it'll certainly get interesting!

Re: Worcester City
Right, let's crunch some numbers/stats.
We have 13 games left.
5 at home, 8 away.
Home games against Fylde, Chorley, Salford, Halifax & Brackley.
Would basically need 75 points (at least) to get into the play-offs.
So 30 points from 13 games -
10 wins & 3 defeats
9 wins, 3 draws & 1 defeat
8 wins & 5 draws - not enough.
Hope that helps.

Re: Worcester City
Town fan- agree but the teams that get promoted should be the best over the course of the season. Playoffs chuck a random element in but overall you've got to beat the bigger teams to be in with a chance. We keep winning, we've got a chance! And also, this lot of players owe us a winning streak. Let's play fylde with confidence, knowing that with a full strength squad we can beat them!

Re: Worcester City
Fylde surprisingly held to a draw by Telford yesterday. This follows their 5 - 0 hammering last week. Are they getting nervy? I shouldn't think so.
Hughes scored for Telford on debut. Good job he made the switch from Worcester before we played them yesterday.

Re: Worcester City
Its highly unlikely, but its a bit of a bonus still being able to talk about it, after our terrible run back in November/December. At one stage I was looking down the table not up, so I am thankful for small mercies!
