    Chib...........Chib...........Chilaka!!!!!!!!!

Post by Chips97 on Thu Oct 27, 2016 11:18 am

PLEASE....PLEASE can we give Chib a full 90 minutes to actually show us what he can do! The man is being neglected and given 10 mins every couple of game. Why did we bring him back to not even make the bench? Every other player is being given the chance to play but not Chib?! Even A young striker who's not proven in the slightest now gets ahead of him WTF!

GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE PLEASE

Maybe we need to show him the love from the terrace on Saturday as well as get behind the rest of the team and the manager!

Looked far from injured when he came on against Fylde. Nothing wrong with him other than lacking mins on the pitch.

I heard he was lacking fitness but the only way to get fitness is to play!! In his interview after Kidderminster, Simon referred to Day's movement and hard work, and he said this is what he needs from a striker. My initial thought was that he was talking about why Chib was not involved, but reading between the lines, it may in fact be why Robertson was subbed.

Yes but let's be honest Chib would work his ars off for this team, it's all well and good saying Day works hard but we need some GOALS, two games 0 goals. Oh and he has had two full games as well.

I agree Chips. Chib always works hard and puts in 100%. I would have started with him rather than Day any way. Chib is proven at this level. Day may be in time, but he's not the finished article yet.

If he's not injured then its obviously cause for speculation as to why he isn't playing.

Also in Simon's interview after the Kidderminster game he blamed conceding the first goal on a forward not picking up at the corner. I assumed he was referring to Robertson & that this was the reason he was subbed at half time.
I think what Simon needs from his strikers is goals, that is primarily their job. I love to see strikers working hard & closing down but they have got to score goals or at least get one or two shots on target otherwise all that hard work is a waste of time.

Chib will have seen the following:

An absent forward return and go straight into the side following a month or so out of the side with confusing and contradictory reasons for his absence.

A youngster with a bit of potential but no previous experience come into the side before him.

A youngster on loan come into the side before him.

A centreback come into the front line before him.

A midfielder come into the front line before him.

The result - 3 shots at best on target in 270 mins of football.

Chib is very much match fit, well he would be if he hadn't seen that all from the bench or been entirely dropped (and not injured) from Tuesday's toothless squad.

Chib always does his best for us. Let's not forget what he has done in the past and can do in the future. We are going to need players to stand up and be counted against Darlington if we are to avoid a fifth straight defeat.
