Big test this weekend. Will tee us up for the rest of the month if we can put a controlled 90 mins in and play to our best abilities!

Must confess I would take a draw now. Worried about this one, but hope I'm wrong. I'll go for 1-1

Sounds like key players out for both sides but wouldve been nice to take a full strength team there to see how they fair. Still think we can get something out of the game but need to surpass previous performances and increase the tempo.

I've chosen to watch the Grand Final today instead of the trek to Chorley. But I'll be listening on 666.

It will be good if Chib can celebrate his being in the starting line-up by making a strong impact as, in my eyes he's not lived up to expectations as yet.

I don't expect there to be much in it so if i were a betting man i'd be backing a draw.

Shiels on for Chilaka? Be interested what the formation for 2nd half is?

Insofar as I can comment (with not being at the game), we seem to be deficient up front. Chib had his chance and failed. Gascogne didn't sound to be very effective.
So is it time to put the versatile Colbeck more up front as an attacking wingman? We'd miss him in defence but we badly need his impetus up front.

Not sure what we're going to do! Shiels out, not sure if Chib is injured or a tactical change but injuries are starting to get costly for us. Fylde drawing with kiddy is a good result but it's going to be so tight at the top behind fylde.

We are lucky with today's results (although halifax's result looks ominous for next w/e) - the 2 other top matches were draws so the others only gained a point on us.
But losing at fylde in 2 weeks time would move our position backwards towards the also-ran brigade.

Fylde are more than holding their own against the top teams. All about staying in the play off positions now. Still in an excel land position but need to maintain consistency and grind out results like this into a 1-0 win.

Yesterday's performance has now convinced me we are not going up this year. We are short up front when we have a few injuries. The treatment of Chib from the friendlies to present day has been poor. He was not given much play time in the friendlies so did not get a chance to be 1st choice. He is obviously 4th choice up front now and his confidence has been knocked out of him. Why was he brought back to be treated this way.We were 2nd best most of the game yesterday but did have chances. Was Pittman rested to be fit for Halifax next week? I hope not because the league comes first. Shiels needs a kick up the arsenal for that stupid foul now he'll be out for 3 games. We don't need this with the tough fixtures coming up.

Was not there yesterday so do not know the situation with the sending off. But, if memory serves me correctly, the laws were changed this season. If you are the last man and commit a foul outside the penalty area you get a red card. If the incident happens inside the penalty area it results in a penalty and a yellow card (unless the tackle is a red card offence). I wonder if the club are/have going to appeal this?
If not, Shields will be suspended for one game (next week).

That'll be fylde? then for Shiels suspension. Saw mentioned that Parker would be back but whether he's match fit is another matter. The disappointment at losing to Chorley for me is that we have set the bar higher this season and have played some good football. Can't see other teams dropping too many points around us so need to put in a shift against Halifax and then prepare for fylde and kiddy which we at least take 2 pts from. Anymore than 2 is a big bonus.

His suspension will be next Saturday. Another change from last season.

Today's NLP report on Gloucester v Halifax includes "Against the run of play in the second half, Halifax had a penalty as Josh Macdonald appeared to take a dive that left the City players fuming". Hope next week's referee has read this and will take it into account if anything similarly contentious occurs.

I know Fylde are a fantastic team, rightly top.. Yet,cant help thinking if Danny Rowe left in January and it seems there's a good chance with lots of League clubs watching him. Will they be the same team without him ?
Cant help thinking its the same scenario here without JPP in our team..would be a massive loss..Hope he's back soon.
