Due to a floodlight problem at Bower Fold which cannot be fixed before tomorrow night the game has been postponed.

However, the decision has been taken to reverse the fixture and Town will now host Stalybridge tomorrow night 7:45pm kick-off.

Time to get that winning streak back. No excuses. We are not going to drop points unnecessarily!

Could be a big financial loss because lots of people won't know about it.  After last week's game I would have expected 700 plus if supporters new about it.

Thank God I checked the forum!! I don't have a computer at home. I do have a smart phone but don't use the internet everyday, so could easily have missed this. Just using the computer at Harrogate library. No excuses then, need a win tonight.

There will be minutes silence before tonights game in memory of Daniel Wilkinson who passed away yesterday after playing for Shaw Lane. We had him on loan in 2011 and he played 5 games for us.

    Another game of two halves.

Some lightning strikes and the weather was a bit tasty too.

400 odd supporters shows us our core support. Excellant turn out all things considered and fair play to the club for staging the game and the work thats been put in. Talking about work getting put in, lets not regarding the 1st half. Staly worked extremely hard to close us down and played well but we weren't at the races and back to ball in the air. 2nd half, folk played like their lives depended on it and fair play to SW in the subs and changing the shape as Thanoj ran the game. However, if we keep turning up to the party after 45 mins teams will bury us in the 1st half. Got to consistently play well with ball on the floor.

Just put the computer on to find out the result at Stalybridge! Very annoying as I didn't miss a home league match all last season or this season until today. To make matters worse I can't get to away evening matches and what will now be the away game is scheduled for Tuesday 21 March. Decent result in the end but it seems there is no such thing as an easy win for Town - haven't beaten any of the lowly teams by more than 2 goals.

Apart from that 1st half display the most worrying thing for me was Crook again at fault with their goal and his charge out of goal in 2nd half when Ainge was there to clear the ball which so easily could have resulted in a goal for them.He has at last started to throw the ball out and start movements instead of giving the ball away.

IMO just a little harsh. He kept us in the game in the 1st half and whilst you could argue he could have done better with the corner, we should never have had 1 man marking 2 which allowed the under no pressure cross which led to the goal.
The important thing is at half time we changed formation, Andy Thunooj completely dominated our midfield, and that of Celtic, and we scored 3 top class goals.
Whilst not wishing to understate areas for improvement, I do believe that sometimes there is a benefit in accentuating the positive - Dom Knowles performance another major positive as was that of Tom Platt and Joe Colbeck in the second half. We suffer from Ben Parkers injury but he will be back in 3-4 weeks.
Great support last night - would have been easy to have a go at half time. Easy to be big support when you are winning and playing well not quite so easy when you are playing badly - 10/10 to the Choir cheers cheers cheers

Thought it was a mistake to agree to play last night.
The crowd was always going to be down because of short notice and some folk not getting to know.
No sponsor, no programme and a loss at the gate, equates to a financial loss.
Would it not have been easier to have played it next Tuesday?
If one of us had a cup replay, OK, re-arrange it.

I was skeptical about playing the game but after the result and were now joint top again it was well done to the club for getting us a game! 3 points that's all I can ask for, GET IN!

Spot on. Bizarre in the extreme giving fans that amount of short notice. A terrible attendance given the turnout last Tuesday. For whose benefit was the match re-arranged?

Certainly from 2 other Season Ticket holders who didn’t know about it till lunchtime yesterday and couldn’t attend and the seeming late arrival of regular faces it was not about anything to do with the convenience of the fans. Again.

As TF points out, the short notice meant for a slapdash preparation and I fail to see how any degree of congratulations can be given for getting the match on. It paints a picture of the wider approach and attitude.

On a positive note, two of my friends have now finally received their season tickets yesterday – just to accentuate the positive.

Don't know what they put in their tea at half time, but I definitely want some! What an amazing contrast. We were truly terrible first half, and I would have agreed with Townfan about putting it on if we had gone on and lost, would have been an unnecessary defeat. But after that second half performance you have to see it as a bonus 3 points. Halifax and Salford lost as well, so a good night. Joint top of the league. I must confess I find it difficult to explain how 11 (well 10) players can be so poor, and 15 minutes later be brilliant! Pittman really does look like a natural born finisher, you never had any doubt he would put that chance away. Great goal by Knowles as well, lets hope that gets him started. Thanof clearly made the difference (I do feel that Emmett is best used as an impact player coming on after 70 minutes or so).

I do feel for those who missed it (thanks for the heads up chips, by the way!), could easily have been me, I'd have been well brassed off if I had missed this as well as the FC United game! Actually getting 409 was pretty good really.

Anyway I'll be off to Brid Saturday (change trains at Hull), hope we get a good turn out, and the second half team turn up, if its the first half team, Brid will win!!

I'm a season ticket holder. I couldn't get to the game at fairly short notice but my overriding opinion is I'm glad that my team won (convincingly in the end) and took three points.
