Looking forward to it too. JPP could be a cracking signing. Heard some great things about him.

Definitely getting a new away kit and understand it will be on sale at the York pre-season game. Not sure which kit we will be wearing tomorrow.

Don't forget to allow extra time for Yorkshire Show traffic!

Can only comment on the first half, best player Chin by a mile, amazing work rate. Leesley looked lively, Than of takes a good corner, Emmett did what he always does, Pittman : hardly noticed him. Early days but Chib looks like an inspired signing.

The match report for last nights game at knaresboro' on the official website says ''Next up for Weaver’s men is a trip to NPL Division One North side Hyde United on Saturday (kick-off 2.00pm).''
The supporter's coach is now departing at 11:30am & not 12:30pm as previously arranged. For some reason the KO time has now changed, no idea why.

Anyone know the identity of the trialist who scored our third goal last night?

Sorry to add to the confusion, but I have just been onto the Hyde site and their 'forthcoming fixtures' list definitely says 3.00 p.m kick off. I'm hoping to go to this, so could someone please sort it out!!

A solid opening effort. Loved seeing Chib back. Was having too much of a natter for the most part but was nice to have a pint and watch the game, in parts. Was that the number 18 who scored, big lad? Didn't realise we would be having many more signings and therefore trialists? How many were there last night and anyone know who they were?

The trialists that I know of are Jordan Robertson ex Alfreton Town, Lloyd Allison(goalkeeper) ex Huddersfield and Isaac Assenso(Centre back who played with Ellis) Ex Leeds youth and Scunthorpe player.

To clarify, kick off against Hyde moved to 2pm at our request. This is due to us participating in a charity event Saturday evening. As a result, supporters coach is now leaving at 11:30.

Cheers for that Chips. All of them seemed to play well.

It certainly does. But he is definitely one that Simon should be trying to sign as I believe at this level, he will bang the goals in with the right service.

Yes, fair point, deserves a second chance and all that. I do believe we need a 4th striker. Injuries, loss of form etc He could be the guy.

Hyde - can't we play it at ours?! Pleeeeeeeeease. Or at Railway.

Any thoughts on the calibre of friendlies, obviously the pitch has had an impact with home matches and attracting higher level opposition but vs competing teams, with likes of Alfreton drawing with Wednesday it does make me worry a tad. That said digs up the perennial of how much you read into preseason fixtures and their use.

Pre-Season is for form, fitness, tactical tweaking, team selections and teamwork. Results are not important in my opinion. As long as the club turn it on in the League and Cups, that is more important to me.

I'm looking forward to the York friendly tonight. See some people commenting that £10 is too much.

Why not do what Neil29 and Freerider do and come in at half-time?
