Need to start generating the buzz.

We don't pick the team, we won't play the game, but we can get behind the team and get more folk down to this game.

Ged- let's get the match day advertisement out early, advertise the 50/50 raffle (prize draw for info for fans database) and 'masscot', let slip the dogs of war and initiate Operation 1000+.

We may not get another opportunity for a while.

    Forza Town!

Hopefully we can put a proper atmosphere on as you say Surplus - a send off for the playoffs. Savour it, next season ain't going to be as easy with the team coming up and down into the division.

Probably this season or never you suspect. Maybe free admission? Our owner can certainly afford it. Up to 718 in today's Times Rich List (from 753 last year), so someone has got promotion! 146 million! Couple of decent strikers next year should be affordable!

We need to try and make the club as sustainable as possible IMHO. Anything else is a bonus but the only way to do it is to develop an overarching PR strategy with a new website at its heart incorporating Twitter feed, embedded YouTube stream of edited highlights or goals and projecting ourselves into the community via advertising and targeted emails.

Corby! Think the football gods smiled on us giving this fixture as the last game at home. We need to make the best of this opportunity and call in favours to bolster the numbers as Corby can't be bringing many!

Regardless of Nuneatons result on Wed against BPA, we need to get as many folk down to the CNG as possible and really fill the team with confidence for what will hopefully be a play off push.

If flyde are 2nd by season end, I didn't see anything at their place to scare us, so strong team out playing with confidence and working for each other we could do this.

If the footballing gods smile on us again and give us a nice sunny day then be even easier to get folk down.

We want Corby beat before they even get on the pitch.

Yes nothing to scare me either from Fylde. None of the top 6 have scared me either tbh no standout team for me. Especially when we had a weakened team against Fylde: No Ellis, Daniels, Turner etc. 3 of our best players!! Cmon Town let's give Corby a hammering giving us the momentum into the play-offs.

Thought the same about Ferriby and Boston. Liked Simon's post match comments, despite our key player abscences - demanding more out of them, we really are that close to making it especially given the potential play off opposition. We have seen that we have the ability and work rate to scare everyone in this division. Did anyone else smash the champions this season?

Think we will play Ferriby in the semi and set us up for a final, at home, to Boston.

The five play off contenders all have fairly similar records and I don't think any of them can be particularly proud of their performances since they allowed Solihull to run away with the championship. I am not a great fan of play offs but they will make more sense than National South where 20 points separate 2nd 5th.

There are so many permutations, but the best we can finish in the table if 4th. And that gives us a slight chance, if the play-off semi final can be navigated, then we could have home advantage in the final.

But the most important thing is that we beat Corby, regardless of the score between BPA-NUN on Wednesday and ensure we finish 4th.

    Nothing else matters now.

    Operation 1000+.

Tell your workmates, friends and family, even the dog if he's got mates.

If folk can forward the match day advertisement to junior football teams, that'll reach 18 odd kids plus families per team, x it up to each age range and we expand our 'reach'.

Need to sell it on last home game plus need to win it to be in it playoffs. Hope Nuneaton get stuffed out of sight on Wednesday but even so we want a big crowd roaring on our boys.

It will also give us an idea of how many fans we could potentially get through the gates as Corby will be lucky to bring a coach driver with them.

    Operation 1000+.

Can we start sharing the hell out of the match day advertisement.

If anyone can get it out to football teams/other social and sporting groups in the area and also spread the word verbally.

Print it off and put it on your community board at work, invite a long lost friend or their entire family tree, repeatedly sharing it on your timeline to the point that others are bored.

Maybe a bit tougher as weather could be against us but forza town.

Still sharing! Keep the advertisements coming out and Twitter feed on for tonight's shenanigans with BPA and Nuneaton! Will they do a Tottenham?

As it was put so eloquently a little earlier --If we cannot beat the bottom of the league team--at home--with everything on the line--then we don't deserve to be in the play-offs!!!!

I have confidence that we will get a solid win over Corby and consolidate the 4th position for the play-offs and will be personally at the CNG for wednesday's play off game--probably against AFC Fylde--what a night that should be!!

Then a morning at the seaside prior to the return leg and onward and upward--we hope!!

100% agree,if we don't get at least 4 goals I'd be totally gutted. With Nunny winning at BPA tonite , Boston now have a must win game at Staly. Going to be a real test of character for all of teams fighting for that 4th,5th,spot.
Looking at Fyldes forum, yes there's been one or two posts since Saturday..They seem to want us in the play off's.Just hope they get there wish..

Right then. We know exactly what we need to do against a team that is already relegated. We need to be professional and not under estimate the opposition, whilst putting on a clinical performance, not picking up injuries or unnecessary red cards. Simples.

Am I missing something here but, according to our Official Site, our Under 21s are at home on Wednesday 4th - the date for the Play Off First Leg. Do the Club know something that we don't?

Remember we beat Corby 3-0 at their place. The target is to be 3-0 ahead at half time and calm everyone's nerves!! A draw will not be good enough if Nuneaton and Boston both win---Nuneaton would pip us on goal difference and Boston by one point. SO it is win or bust. We need goals--a repeat of the Solihull result will be just fine.

Any ideas on the team that SW will select for the game??

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION - AWAY TRAVEL - PLAYOFFS***

In the event of us finishing in the playoffs, there will be a supporters coach running to the away game. This will take place on SUNDAY 8TH MAY and will be at either North Ferriby or AFC Fylde (this will be determined by final league table). Either way, the coach will be leaving at 12:00 and will be priced at the following:-

Adult Supporters Club Members - £10
Child Supporters Club Members - £7
    Adult Non Members- £15
    Child Non Members - £10

Should we qualify, I will be taking bookings IMMEDIATELY after the game on Saturday in the 1919 bar. If you are not able to make it to the game on Saturday, you can text me straight after the game on 07989 969 575. I will NOT be taking bookings via Facebook/Messenger at this stage.

As always, payment upfront will be required and I would recommend booking asap as demand will be high. Demand will determine the amount of additional coaches should these be required.

    Thanks

Faraway- I'm not sure what status our injured players are at and maybe its no bad thing that SW is playing his cards close to his chaest on that one.

I would like to see Platt and Burrell really cement an understanding in midfield with Burrell getting forward to support the wide players and strikers and Platt sitting deeper protecting the back four and looking to pass us up the pitch rather than put the ball on the moon.

If we can cut out the head tennis, use a hopefully smooth damp pitch to our advantage and play the ball quickly to feet and attack and defend in numbers with everyone putting in a shift then we should put it too bed. Ideally pulling off some of the "spine' of the team to rest them for the playoffs and also get a round of applause from the fans.

Personally think Clayt's, Daniels and Captain Fantastic deserve that if the opportunity arises.

Hopefully sets us up for a feelgood factor at the ground and for the presentation.

It'll be like a wet weekend in Blackpool if we don't pull this off but we have got to respect Corby, keep it calm in the 1st half and find out about them, bit of probing etc and see if they are up for it or broken biscuits with being relegated. 2nd half or before, clinically despatch them.
