Re: Alfreton Town- getting close now!
A successful season- getting into playoffs/ increased support both home and away/increasingly vocal and positive fan base/ attracting exciting players to club + keeping existing players/ improved playing performances/ goals that will be talked about for years to come/ watching players like Daniels,Emmett improve/ stability off field/ ground developments/ women's football/ soccer camps/ implementing improvements advocated by fans such as overhaul of website and programme and developing overarching PR strategy ( to be done).
All the above show how far the club has moved forwards and constitutes success in my book. It's also understandable that the prize we all want is promotion which is in our hands.
If we do it it will be massive and I may wet myself but if we don't , and the dust settles remember what we have got and done so far.

Consistency is the key to success, because the table doesn't lie. For me at this point it's more of a mental thing, an attitude and a mind set. bringing in players when there is actually no real reason and letting others go or sit out can either upset the equilibrium or can be successful - that's the risk that the Manager takes. Sometimes the Manager himself has to have the self confidence, know how and skill to work with his players and get the best out of them, rather than having a default setting of 'Let's bring someone else in.' We have a great squad of talented players,; they need to realise it and then demonstrate it whenever they step foot on the pitch.

The most annoying fact about the 2 defeats against Alfreton is that Sam Jones their No 9 should be playing for us.He played some preseason games for us 2years ago and looked terrific then but was allowed to leave. He had a good game again yesterday and looks superb.

Id be seriously looking at Rob Cundy from Gloucester at centre half. Young lad with bags of potential!

No surprise. He was a class apart. I suppose the question is when do you get players in who command a higher salary, when do you go professional and how do you set up an infrastructure that can support that sort of progression at the next level.
