Re: County Cup
Game now taking place at SILSDEN FC on Thurday 17th March.
If there is enough interest, I will look to arrange a supporters coach.

Re: County Cup
This competition is a complete waste of time. The vast majority of clubs don't want it but are forced to play in it by a "Mickey Mouse" organisation who are clinging onto their diminishing authority.

Re: County Cup
Townfan that is absolutely spot on. Wrcfa is known between all the county set ups to be a laughing stock.

Re: County Cup
I assume there is some historic reason why we are affiliated to West Riding rather than North Riding. I live in Wetherby ,West Yorkshire but only about 200 yards from North Yorkshire (Kirk Deighton). If it would serve any useful purpose could we switch?

Re: County Cup
Not that easy the old west riding boundary is huge and goes right into Lancashire hence teams like barnoldswick play in it.

Re: County Cup
Looking at the comments from Silsden, they state that the fixture was on our web-site. I don't recall it ever being down for last Tuesday.

Re: County Cup
The competitions throughout England do have a historic legacy and as such without having a reserve team at this level gives us great opportunities to not only get players like Gazza back to match fitness but give much needed first team minutes to the likes of Rob Worrall, whilst given our strength in depth this season talented players some additional game time. Away from the impact on the pitch don't get what the fuss is about.
