Season so far

Only 5 games gone but we can already see the big guns settling at the top. Solihull Moors (my tip for the championship), Nuneaton, Stockport County and Tamworth with Fylde, Boston and Chorley creeping up.
Having see the last two home games against Hednesford and Tamworth it is clear that we could be out-muscled by the top teams who seem to have 6ft plus players right through their sides and play the long ball rather than work it through midfield. We struggled, particularly, against Hednesford with this tactic.
Having said that we do appear to have a considerably better squad this season and Simon weaver's hopes of a top ten finish look promising - we could even finish 6th, 7th or 8th. A play-off place will be some achievement though.
It's very quiet on here at the moment, we could do with a defeat at Chorley to get the likes of Town Supporter, Ultimate Warrior and the thesbian on here with their constructive criticism.

So we are now nearly half way there and we have a clearer view of things.
Solihull, Nuneaton and Tamworth have not disappointed whilst Fylde and Boston are doing nicely. North Ferriby have been something of a surprise though.
I have probably changed my opinion about Solihull winning it but could still be right at the end of the day. This League is so difficult to predict and every game is hard (Nuneaton are four points clear but have managed just two points from their last two home games against FCUM and Corby - who are in the bottom four!).
If we are still in touch after the Christmas/New Year period then who knows. One thing for sure though is that results will continue to be unpredictable.
