Yes, has been quiet on here (nothing to complain about?). Cannot wait for Saturday, have a good feeling about it!

A couple of the changes were out of Simon's control Garage. Nyoni, who was due to start, was stuck in traffic and did not get to the ground until 15.20 and I heard that York requested for Platt not to play as did not want him cup tied.

I would like to see Emmett and Thewliss play a big part tomorrow. I think with their pace and ability to run at players, it will scare the life out of Burscough. A good start is essential.

Yes, we need to do what Workington did to us. They were in our faces from the start and never gave us a chance to settle. A bit of Klopp endless pressing would be good to see!

All the very best for today, on paper you should win and I am sure Simon and the team will not underestimate them. Crowd 700+

It would be great to get 700. but I'd be very surprised. My guess is about 500. Don't think Burscough will bring too many. 3-1 would be nice. Dom Knowles needs a goal or two

Great result today. Not the most convincing performance but we are through to the draw on Monday.

Fantastic article in programme by Paul Michell too. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Super result.Thought we had 2 or 3 players failing to adapt to pace of  the game first half. With the second goal we started to play more like we can.Back 4 superb again.
Lets hope for a home draw Monday.. Smile Smile

I agree with Garage: I thought apart from the goal, which he took very well, Dominic had a pretty quiet game. I also thought that the score line was a little bit flattering in terms of the fight that the opposition offered for some parts of the game (until the last 10 minutes, when we over ran them,) it was not that obvious that they usually play in a lower league to us, or that they had ten men. I thought it felt a bit jittery for some reason, except for the back four, who as usual, were resolute in their defending. Having said all of that, we in the draw next week and a win is a win! Well done

Yes, bit unfair to Burscough I thought, they shaded the first half, but we scored three good goals and should have had at least two more at the end. MOM a bit crazy, but pleased that Dom scored. Home draw please Monday

Credit to Burscough who did what you would expect from a side two leagues lower (Railway's League to be precise), they raised their game and challenged for everything. Probably the worst we have played (at home) this season but its results that count in cup-ties. First half was fairly even although Burscough never looked like scoring. The sending off was the right decision for an awful two-footed tackle and probably put paid to any hope they harboured. We could have got two or three more in the last ten minutes but it would have been an unfair reflection of the game.
I take it that the third goal was an own goal. Seems that, on twitter, they think Daniels scored.

Is Brendon claiming the 3rd goal? Would love to give him it,but it really was a own goal from the defender,Yes?

Without a doubt an own goal. It was a cross which was diverted in to the goal by their defender.
