Watching the game today, I thought the first half was a very tightly fought contest, which we edged and were certainly immensely unlucky to concede, particularly just before half time. However, as the second half progressed, it looked as though we were fading and they appeared to be fitter and faster than us and as such looked to be the better side. Therefore, a draw would have been a fairer reflection of the afternoon. I think that Mr Weaver and his staff perhaps need to up the intensity and level of challenge in training a little more now, to ensure that the players do not plateau or dip and can maintain or even improve the team's position in the league. I also thought that as in the last game, Clayton looked out of sorts. Perhaps a plan B should have been employed instead of putting him under so much pressure so often to receive the high balls sent up to him against such big, athletic defenders. I have been really impressed so far with the levels of energy shown by the players and today is the first (and hopefully the last!) time that some looked tired.
