Knowles great chance...good work from Colbeck on the right.

Best chance of the game came to Knowles.

    Starting to get going.

    Newport 0 York City 3.

Apparently the burger bar is doing a roaring trade with hungry Town fans.

    Another 747 goes over.

Town win the first corner, good work by Colbeck.

"Dancing, singing Town fans" our Radio York team are impressed with another great humorous and noisy following.

    12 gone, no goals.

On an excellent pitch, Town are bright, quick on the break, neat and tidy.

    Good start.

Solihull Manager was named Manager of the month........doomed.

17 gone, no goals, Solihull slightly more possession but Town have had the better attacks.

So where are you reading this from ?

Canada, USA, Oz, France or throughout the UK ? Please post your location.

Seems a bit quiet again, promising from Town but both teams cancelling out each other.

Nice day in Harrogate, no wind, a blue sky but chilly.

    Free kick to Solihull.....no threat.

Nyomi battling away, free kick to Moors.

Town on the attack.....colbeck, McWilliams and platt storming forward........gone for a corner.

    PITCH INVASION !

Yellow and Black balloons have entered the playing field, no stewards anywhere, the balloons just seem to be full of hot air.

    Incident passes without any problems.

Colbeck free kick, Daniels off for treatment, in it comes.......McGurk header, that's another one in the car park.

Daniels with a weak shot, no trouble there.

Colbeck is having plenty of the game. Platt seems quiet....fitness ?

Turner and Colbeck linking well, pressure from Town.

    Looping effort, keeper saves.

    Another 747 screams over.

    33 gone, no goals.

    Town on top.

Platt far right earns a corner.

    no chance on goal.

45 minutes and Adam Walker scores for Solihull.

Crook made the save and Walker tapped in from 6 yards.

Hard on Town, much the better side.

Lets get in re-group and go for it.

Our second half performances are impressive so we are still in it.

    HALF TIME.

Nice play from Town, neat and quick but the finishing boots seem to be left on the bus.

I would take a draw, but another goal for Moors, game over.

Good football by town, getting on top.

    Another effort.....corner to Town

    806 attendance which is great.

Shot for Town....... straight in the mens toilets.... pants....(sorry, couldn't resist)

Emmett is on and straight away causing chaos. I like him. Very bright future.

Two lads in the main stand have demolished a burger each in record time.

Great attendance, pleased for Solihull, they are a fine club with great fans.

    Effort by town, corner.

7 to go and town are probing.

Solihull have had their best test of the season so far.

A draw would be fair, but that's football.

Thewliss on the ball a lot.

Moors content to run this out.

    4 to go.

Come on Town, one more chance, we can get something here.

Emmett scrapping like mad to get the ball in.

    3 to go.

Some home fans are leaving, content.

A draw would be a fairer result but if we lose, no "knee jerk reaction".

Town fans are in the "Drain End". What a lovely image in non league grounds.

    4 mins of stoppage time.

    One last chance...

    1 minute left...

    CORNER TO TOWN !

Cleared, break by Moors, crook saves.

    that's it, moors corner.

    FULL TIME

    Just back from the match
    1st half, Town were superb
Their number 5 should have had a red card for a two footed lunge at Daniels
Their goal came against the run of play, a Crook parry fell straight to their forward who had a tap in
Second half we weathered pressure and then had the balance of play
I would now start with Thewlis, who offers cutting edge compared to Clayton's hold up play
We really need Ellis and Thirwell back
Superb support and a big crowd made for a good day out despite the score
AFC Telford have re-hired Rob Smith who has brought in players from Hednesford and Worcester so next week will be a tough cookie

Watching the game today, I thought the first half was a very tightly fought contest, which we edged and were certainly immensely unlucky to concede, particularly just before half time. However, as the second half progressed, it looked as though we were fading and they appeared to be fitter and faster than us and as such looked to be the better side. Therefore, a draw would have been a fairer reflection of the afternoon. I think that Mr Weaver and his staff perhaps need to up the intensity and level of challenge in training a little more now, to ensure that the players do not plateau or dip and can maintain or even improve the team's position in the league. I also thought that as in the last game, Clayton looked out of sorts. Perhaps a plan B should have been employed instead of putting him under so much pressure so often to receive the high balls sent up to him against such big, athletic defenders. I have been really impressed so far with the levels of energy shown by the players and today is the first (and hopefully the last!) time that some looked tired.
