Hednesford Starting Line-Up
Who will start tomorrow? Has Brendan Daniels got an unanswerable case after his heroics on Tuesday night? Does Kerry come in for his passing ability to break down the Hednesford giants? Really looking forward to the game.

I think there will be one change, Daniels for Swain (Weaver almost said as much in the advertiser). Other than that I don't want him to start tinkering too much.

A big 3 puts against a side who by and large got us sucked into an attritional battle
Chuffed that their centre-forward went away with nothing!

Grafting performance against as you say an attritional team of big uns. Enjoyed their number seventeen warm up performance.
knwoles doing what all good strikers do when on a quiet match. Struggled to get meaningful shots away but still got two.
Brilliant to see super Jack playing as he did last season. A great impact.
Woeful attendance. How it is possible to get less than Tuesday and with decent away support in attendance.

“Today’s game against Hednesford will be an altogether different test from Tuesday’s game against Gainsborough. Hednesford have players who like to get the ball down and play”!!!!!!!!!
Not the best crowd but 345!!!
Think someone might need to check the turnstile counting system next week!!!!!!!!

Sure looked like more than 345! Need to win ugly and did that today. Won with two good goals, they deserved nothing

Re: Hednesford Starting Line-Up
Last season we would have lost that to a late goal!! What a great piece of composure to not panic and thrash at that ball and that was the difference between the two sides today. Their number 10 had chances in the fist half but wouldn't have scored even if the goal was 6 times bigger.
Nice to see BPA struggling, let them pay mega bucks for a has been!!

Thought their No. 9 went down like a sack of potatoes at every opportunity looking for free kicks or a penalty. Managed to get Shiels booked for nothing. Glad he went away a loser.

Re: Hednesford Starting Line-Up
Hednesford never seem to change their tactics..Always massive players who thrive on trying to intimidate their opposition .Agree, there no 9 (Perry) ex Worcester was the biggest jessie on the field today.Embarrassing how he for such a big man went down every time he was challenged..
Great team display, but a special mention to the back four who were outstanding.

Extend that to back 5 - Crook came for crosses and bossed his box then pulled out that fantastic save from the free kick.

What a battle against a big set of bruisers- their no 9 unbelievably got away with not even a booking and we got 3 booked-congratulations to the team on keeping going and getting their just rewards- we had quality subs to come on and keep them under pressure- knowles scored his goal without getting many sights of the goal-Daniels goals get better and better!

Re: Hednesford Starting Line-Up
Just seen on their forum someone posting the link to Craig's photos and then having a little mumble about the fact there are no shots of their goal....Ha they should bring their own photographer, why would any Harrogate fans want to see any action shots from the Hednesford players?

Re: Hednesford Starting Line-Up
Official attendance was 375 ..... rather than 345
Still needs to be at least 100 higher though
Would be great to get more younger fans coming through
How about another Kids for a Quid match?

Re: Hednesford Starting Line-Up
I added one to the attendance by bringing my 8 year old granddaughter to her first Town game - she had previously been with her father to see Motherwell 0 v Hamilton 0. Later her mother asked if she wanted to go again and she said oooh yes! Despite the official meager attendance they had run out of progammes when we arrived 10 minutes before kick off which I find pretty annoying. Otherwise a good time was had by all.

What a great win. As I have said many times, and please quote me, in my opinion, as I said before, I think we are going to have a great season. You can tell from the pictures, the whole squad believe in Simon, and know what he wants to achieve.

If you take away the 40 or so away fans and the parents and relatives of the kids playing at half time i reckon the attendance would be around 300 and we need so i'm told 800 to break even if we win our next game away we might get more in but if we lose i guess we will have about the same, i still think we are counting the cost of the poor season we had last season promised so much and delivered so little

Re: Hednesford Starting Line-Up
The attendance numbers albeit after two games is on the pathetic side - summer holidays or not. The club deserves more from the town - that said is a well trodden posh town and football problem!
Club needs to put greater imagination into attracting HG's army of armchair Premier league fans to the ground.
At present putting up the tickets prices to £13 is not doing the rest of the development of the club justice.
Would be relatively easy to reach out to these people - we know where they drink and watch football, is just a matter of giving them a compelling enough reason to try and then get them to repeat it until they are one of us!
We have the facilities, we arguably could have the team now and we have the atmosphere for sure - we just need the imagination to get these lot to watch proper football and not watch the TV in a pub.

Need to win tonight if we are to be serious play off contenders. Home wins alone not enough. This one is winnable.
