I mean I know its June and all that, but I've never known this Forum so quiet. To be fair, the Official Site has been almost as quiet, but even so Anyone any 'inside dope' on pre-season training, any interesting players trying out for a contract? How are ticket sales for Leeds going? Something, anything...

Re: Hello...anyone out there?
Hi Paul, just thought I'd say hello.
Looking forward to a fantastic season.
If Town can play football with the same attitude as England's cricket team, the crowds will come, and it won't matter where we are in the League.
But there..................I'm just an incurable optimist!!
Ta ta, see you next week!

Re: Hello...anyone out there?
Thanks Pie and Chips, someone IS still alive out there! Anyway should be plenty of comment (better had be) in about 25 hours time when the fixtures are announced, I'm just hoping we start with a home game, the FC United game is on a Saturday and that we are away early September when I shall be in deepest Shropshire! I want to miss as few games as possble.
Anyone know anything about this Lee Barraclough now our Chief Scout, a 'legend' apparently according to the Advertiser. Never heard of him myself, but some of you Harrogate residents must have done. Likewise Phil Powell, goalkeeping coach...who he?
Well guys, in just over 7 days time I shall be putting my tin hat on, ready to board the train along with x hundred Leeds fans...wish me luck! Think I might leave my Town scarf at home.

Re: Hello...anyone out there?
Simon hasn't given the fans any excuse to be optimistic about the season ahead due to his aim of a 10th place finish. I personally do think he has just put that out there so he can keep the pressure off himself and the players accordingly.
I am sure most would agree, that by looking at the current squad on paper; if we added a prolific striker, a solid GK as backup to push Crook and hope that Gascoigne can pick up where he left off, then it is a playoffs team if they can get a good start to the season.
It is essential that he keeps his team selections and his tactics consistent throughout the season. If he does this, coupled with a good start, then playoffs beckon.

Re: Hello...anyone out there?
I would be surprised if Gascoigne is playing again before Christmas, given the seriousness of his injury.
Hope I am wrong.

Re: Hello...anyone out there?
From what I gather, he was already doing light work prior to pre-season, and it was his intention to come back and be fully involved from the second week of pre-season onwards.
Maybe someone else, closer to the club can provide information on this?

In the light of BRM's recent post, info from the club might be in short supply for quite a while!
