In the time that Weaver has been our manager...

...AFC Bournemouth have gone from being on the brink of Conference football to the Premier League.

    Food for thought.

Wish Weaver stuck to the family trade and not the football hobby. Daddy, understandably, doesn't want him anywhere near the real business.

For me, the only way for the club to go to the next level on the pitch is with a change in personnel, whether that be a sideways move or upwards move. This relates primarily to managerial movements. This is no slight on SW or JD. But they havent really achieved anything of worthwhile note as a managerial duo and fresh impetus/ideas I believe is necessary.

Off the pitch, the improvement has been nothing short of outstanding in the last 4/5 years. But it's all good and well having a fantastic setup off the pitch; it is on the pitch where the real results need to be delivered. The performances on the pitch are what will get the club up the table and up the divisions.

Its okay having a very tidy and good stadium (which once the Wetherby Road side goes up, we will have). That will not get us promoted on it's own entity.

Wonder when the released/retained lists are due out?

And yet the general feeling on here appears to be one of optimism - I can only think that off field developments have fooled some supporters into thinking we’re a league club. Under Bill Fotherby’s ownership the ground was undeniably a **** hole but you rarely heard anyone comment on how nice it would be if we could sacrifice good quality, entertaining, competitive football for a nice new stand or improved packaging for our refreshments. Pretty much anywhere else but Harrogate and the Weavers would have endured far tougher opposition from supporters. Here we get the likes of paul street observing how hard the young players are trying or pie and chips commenting on how good the pulled pork sandwiches are - it’s embarrassing. The good news though is that Simon is running out of time – word is firmly out amongst non-league players that Simon can’t manage, that he has a poor track record in management and is incapable of getting anywhere near the best out of many of his key signings – the only ones that will listen are young lads with a point to prove, looking to earn themselves a contract with a league club and therefore Simon’s inadequacies as a manager are not of great importance to them. The excitement surrounding which players the club will retain or release is utterly pointless if Simon remains in charge of team affairs. It’s a great shame that those supporters who are opposed to the current regime or who have been on the receiving end of the Weavers actions would develop a bit of backbone and speak out more. It’s a sorry state of affairs.

Don't you just love the sound of a stuck record.............on and on and on and on.
Roll on next season, looking forward to the friendly games, hope the new stand is ready on time.

Well, I enjoy chanting and singing when the mood allows me, and I am always stood in the kop of fear with the other supporters. Ask Jordan, Trev and a few of the others. I am always there when I attend games.

But I am also a realist and to an extent, a nay-sayer also. We are all real supporters of the club, everyone who goes to the game to watch Harrogate is a real supporter but for you to generalise that the people who prefer to watch the game from a different viewpoint, rather than in the stand singing and chanting arent real supporters???

This point of view makes you an absolute prick, in my opinion.

If you are happy to just go and watch football and watch us be constantly stuck in the Conference North, in perpetual motion, season after season, living off false promises under the same stewardship. Then thats your perogative.

Some of us actually want to see the team get out of this division, but it wont happen on the pitch under SW and JMcD.

Just curious 'TheNeil29' who has been making false promises. Would it be possible for you to list a few please? Thanks.
