Centenary Sunday - which ex palyers would you like to see? Empty Centenary Sunday - which ex palyers would you like to see?

Post by gedmaloney Thu Jul 17, 2014 4:11 pm

We are planning a Festival of Football on Sunday 7th September as part of our Centenary celebrations (more details to follow in the next week but please keep the date free) - Town were down to play their first fixture on 6th September 1914 - a slight disagreement with our European friends scuppered the trip to Bishop Auckland and the rest, as they say, is history.

We have organised a fixture against Bishop Auckland on Sunday 7th September alongside a number of other activities. We inviting ex Town players back for a 6 a side game and were keen for supporters to nominate relevant individuals then two lucky Town fans would be given the opportunity to manage both teams!!!

As someone who has come relatively late to the party I will start the nominations with Chib Chilaka - nice guy, important goal, always gave 100% and created history.

    WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

Just get Danny Holland in a Harrogate shirt again and I will be there Very Happy

Though Merris, Chib and Craig MacGillivray would be nice to give them a proper send off after all three kind of just left with out the fans getting to say goodbye!

Even just a handful of the above (though it would be nice even if some dont want to play if the club can ask can make it down to the ground to be seen again by the fans) will make it a special event
