Are we absolutely sure this game is happening? Just been on the Leeds United site and they say their first pre-season friendly is against Guiseley on July 19th. Also are they not going to Italy for pre-season training on Monday for a fortnight? Mind you everything so chaotic at Leeds anything could be happening, but just wondering.

This happened a lot last preseason as it isn't a first 11 they don't seem to mention it

Suprised that they are mentioning Guiseley game but not ours. You would expect it to be a similar standard of team.

Re: Leeds game July 12th
Taken off the Leeds Utd Website. Looks like the fixture against Leeds on the 12th July will be against a Youthful Leeds Team.
The club can now confirm that while the first team are on pre-season duty in Italy they will play two friendly matches. The first of the two games will be against local side FC Gherdeina on Thursday July 10 and then United will face-off against FC Viitorul Constanta on Sunday July 13. Romanian side FC Viitorul Constanta currently play in Liga 1 in Romania after gaining promotion to the top division in 2009-10 season after only being established in 2009. Both matches will be played at Mulin De Coi in Val Gardena and will kick off at 5.30pm. Admission for the game against FC Gherdeina is free and supporters are able to pay on the gate for the game against FC Viitorul Constanta, price to be confirmed. - See more at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Leeds game July 12th
I have always assumed it would be the youth / development XI as with most of the pre-season games last year - to sell it as anything else isn't quite the done deal IMO!
Given that Leeds have closed the training ground canteen and asked all of their players to bring their own sandwiches, it might be a good idea to give them a fantastic post match meal to remind them of what true non-league hospitality is like!
